The 25 year old programming phenom owns and opperates AMProSoft and writes the games. Hobbies include: Programming, Drawing, Composing digital music, Basketball, and Modeming(B.B.S.s not Web Surfing).
I started programming in 1987 in High School as a senior. Just a case of the right place at the right time, my last year there was the second year of the new computer teacher, Mr. Alderdice, the computer teacher without equal.
My computer language of choice has always been BASIC (laugh if you will but I get good results), I started in 87 with BASICA, had a brief stint with QuickBASIC but now find myself quite satisfied with PowerBASIC 3.2.

Something Important I'd like to convey is:
"Be yourself! Don't waste time being other people, and never let anyone else be you for you."

Here at AMProSoft, I'm basically a "whatever guy"... I do whatever needs to be done to get the AMProGram out or to help out, be it write an article (or two or three) for the 'Gram or write a song for a game or a tape..
Usually, I only get in about two hours of good work when I'm around Alex, though... It takes about 20 minutes for me to churn out a column and then the rest of the time is spent doing whatever else needs to be done. Finally, our banter degenerates even further into some of the weirdest things...
Hobbies: As far as hobbies go, I don't seem to have lots of time for them nowadays. When I *do* manage to get out, and it's not that frequently, I like to play paintball. I also used to like to bike all around the place, but I haven't been able to do that for aeons... Same for rock climbing.. :)
I came to be associated with AMProSoft when... Well.. If I remember correctly, it all started out when Alex liked my Mods and I had first met him at one of the local BBS 'nics... Shortly thereafter, we had co-written a few mods, I think, and a while after that, he asked me to put in a column for the AMProGram for .MOD review... I did it for a bit, and then it started to become tedious.. I think he sensed this cuz before I could even ask, he had given me something else to do and the Mod Review was in the hands of Justin Goellner (Aristotle). I was slated to do the Tips and Tricks column, but instead ended up doing the Letter Column--which I love-- and writing a miscellaneous article or two to fill up the 'Gram.
Something important I'd like to convey is: "Follow your instincts-- go with what you feel is right-- don't be ashamed to be who you are, and you'll find yourself with more friends than you can shake a great big stick at."

Bryan Gawron is the beta test cheif, and writes about the new beta testing of AMProSoft stuff in the AMProGram. Look for his Beta Test Corner articles there. He also runs Final Fantasy X BBS (716)633-3009 where AMPro Software is tested, and distributed.
Hobbies include: Spending time modeming (BBSing, MUSHing(Transformers)), Magic the Gathering (card game), Reading, Writing, Roll Playing games, Working, and Hanging out with my friends, and all different kinds of music. I am an admin on the Transformer mush 2K5 and am learning to program in mush code. Telnet to aptlabta.wpi.edu 5555 to check it out and look for FX there.
"I first got to know Alex through a local BBSer "Scarlet Begonia" when we were on three way calling, where she left for about two hours with the phone off the hook. Ever since then I started talking to Alex more and more, and we became friends. Then he asked me to start doing AMProSoft stuff."

Something Important I'd like to convey is:

Well, I did six songs for Breakthru Bukulu, I like writing music, biking, playing keyboard/piano, building models and painting miniatures (even though I haven't done the last two in quite a while). I got into the whole AmProSoft scene when one of my friend's BBS' subscribed to the AmProLand newsgroup and downloaded some of the games. I was into digital music at the time, and he called me up and said, "Hey Lou! There's these cool games programmed in QuickBasic and they have a mod soundtrack!". I got sucked into playing them and posting about them. Now, with my new AWE 32 PnP, I'm going against everything I stood for... I'm now writing MIDI files.
